Privacy policy

Last updated 2 November 2026

This is the portfolio of Sue Patterson, an independent product designer in Ireland. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and how you can control it.

What I collect

This site has no forms and no accounts. The only personal information I get is:

Google Analytics and cookies

I use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site, so I can improve it. It measures things like which pages are visited and for how long, which site or link brought you here, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (country or city). It doesn’t tell me who you are, and I don’t use it for advertising.

Google Analytics only runs if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. Until then, the analytics script isn’t loaded, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_3KHHGRQZ7E, which last up to two years. Google processes this data for me and may process it outside the EU. You can read Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage, so the banner doesn’t appear on every page.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time: change your cookie settings, or use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page. If you decline, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are removed from your browser.

Other services this site uses

The site is hosted on Netlify. Fonts load from Google Fonts, and the animation code loads from jsDelivr, a public code library. To fetch these files, your browser sends those services your IP address. They don’t set cookies. You can read Netlify’s privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.

The LinkedIn link takes you to LinkedIn, which has its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of any information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing supatterson@gmail.com. If you’re unhappy with how your information is handled, you can contact the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
